About FACET Homeschool Co-op

FACET is a community of multi-denominational Christians who share a common faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior and believe God has called us to raise and educate our children personally with the Bible as our guide. Our mission is to provide an enjoyable, safe, and social learning environment to support each student’s homeschool experience and to encourage and support families as they homeschool for the glory of God. FACET is overseen by a volunteer board, who works to ensure that FACET upholds its Statement of Faith and holds unwaveringly to a biblical worldview; the board also oversees the development of the academic and enrichment programs FACET offers.

History

FACET was formed in the fall of 2019 when the FEAST homeschool association announced its plans to stop running a co-op in the effort to serve all homeschooling families, co-ops, and support groups in the South Texas region. The 2020-2021 school year was the inaugural year for the FACET co-op, and we survived through a COVID-restricted Fall, through Snowmageddon in the Winter, and have enjoyed a wonderful Spring semester on-site with our FACET family!

Information

There is a yearly registration fee of $85/student or $105/individual family to attend classes at FACET. Tuesday and Thursday are the primary class days; however, a limited number of classes meet on Monday and Wednesday as well. All classes meet for 16 weeks each semester, and we provide a variety of academic and enrichment classes spanning from Pre-K to 12th grade. FACET teachers are independent contractors serving our co-op families, and they are responsible for setting their own class fees and semester supply fees. All class fees and supply fees are paid directly to the teachers. Our class schedule has a complete list of classes each year. FACET co-op teachers design and plan their classes for a full school year, so please prayerfully consider your commitment to FACET before you register.
